Charles
Rhodes
31-year old power forward Charles Rhodes (203-F/C-85) had a great game in the last round for Mobis Phoebus and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 24.
He had a double-double of 37 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Samsung Th. (#1, 20-7) 78-71. Mobis Phoebus maintains the 6th position in South Korean league. Mobis Phoebus is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 14-14 record. In the team's last game Rhodes had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Mobis Phoebus' top player in his first season with the team. Mississippi State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rhodes is in league's top in points (3rd best: 24.1ppg), rebounds (5th best: 11.4rpg) and averages solid 2.1bpg and 51.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of Sonic Boom KT. He is American in his first season at Sonic Boom KT. In the last game Williams recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Sonic Boom KT to edge slightly higher-ranked SK Knights (#9, 9-18) by 6 points 87-81. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Sonic Boom KT is still at the dead bottom 10th position. 22 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Sonic Boom KT managed to get this year. Williams is a newcomer at Sonic Boom KT and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward James Mays (206-F/C-86) of LG Sakers (#7). Mays scored 27 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Mays' great performance LG Sakers lost 72-86 to the higher-ranked Anyang KGC (#2, 19-8). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of LG Sakers ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 16 games, recording just eleven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Mays could help LG Sakers to bring them higher in the standings. Mays has a great season in South Korea. After 26 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.7ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 12.0rpg (4th best). He also has 2.1spg and FGP: 53.6%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Seung-Hyun Lee (201-C-92) of Goyang Orions - 23 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
5. David Simon (208-C-82) of Anyang KGC - 21 points and 11 rebounds
6. Sun-Hyung Kim (187-G-88) of SK Knights - 18 points, 2 rebounds and 11 assists
7. Chan-Hee Park (190-G-87) of ET Land - 11 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists
8. Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of Samsung Th. - 22 points and 11 rebounds
9. Won-Hyeok Choi (183-F-92) of SK Knights - 18 points and 9 rebounds
10. Sek-Eun Oh (200-C-87) of Anyang KGC - 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
