S-Birds defended WKBL title! - Apr 1, 2011

S-Birds defended WKBL title as the favorites swept the Final series. The defending Champions triumphed with 67:55 in Game 3 over Winnus to win the series 3-0.
S-Birds decided not to postpone their triumph and won the series away from home. They started with 15-13 but had difficulties staying tough at the end of the half. Winnus erupted with 14-6 to take 31:27 advantage at the halftime. In the third quarter however the guests pulled the lead back producing 22-10 in it. Moreover they needed 24-18 to win the game and the series. Ha Eun-Joo (200-C-83) top-scored for the winners with 19 points an 9 rebounds. Kim Dan-Bi (180-F-90) and Lee Yeon-Hwa (177-F-83) followed her with 11 points apiece and two other players netted 10 each. Cho Eun Joo (180-G/F-83) replied with 15 points in the losing effort.
Last year S-Birds became the winner of the Play-offs beating Bichumi in Game 4. The winner of the Regular Season needed 78:72 win to win the Final series 3-1. Ha Eun-Joo ) exploded with 28 points and 12 rebounds.


S-Birds win the Regular Season - Mar 10, 2011

S-Birds win the Regular Season as the team finished it with 29-6 record. Even in the last game the team lost to Winnus that improved to 18-17 record and managed to take the third place. Choi Youn-Ah (170-G-85) was the only player for S-Birds in that game to score in double digits pouring in 13 points. Bichumi finished with 23-12 in the second spot winning the last game of the Regular Season. Bichumi closed it with 87:65 win over Cool Cats. The favorites started the game with 19-11 and added 22-17 in the second frame. Moreover they won the third and the last quarters to win the game. Lee Seon-Hwa (181-C-88) stepped up with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners.
In the Semifinals S-Birds will face Cool Cats, while Bichumi will meet Winnus. The first games will be played on March 16th and 17th.
