Best players of South Korean KBL round 39 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Egyptian Assem Marei (206-C-1992) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Changwon LG Sakers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 39.
The 33-year old center had a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed KCC Egis (#5, 21-21) with 20-point margin 94-74. It allowed Sakers to consolidate first place in the South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. LG Sakers has a very solid 30-13 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Marei turned to be Sakers' top player in his first season with the team. Minnesota State University Mankato graduate has very impressive stats this year. Marei leads league in rebounds with 14.4rpg. Marei is in league's top in assists (5th best: 5.2apg) and averages solid 2.2spg and 52.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international guard Yuhyeon Moon (189-G-2004) of second-ranked Anyang KGC. Moon impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Anyang to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Wonju DB (#4, 26-16) 89-59. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Anyang consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 27-15 record is not bad at all. Moon is a newcomer at Anyang and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another LG Sakers' star - international guard Junseok Yang (179-G-2001). Yang scored 13 points and passed 9 assists. He was another key player of Changwon LG Sakers, helping his team with a 94-74 easy win against the lower-ranked KCC Egis (#5, 21-21). Sakers confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 30 victories and 13 lost games. Yang has a great season in South Korea. After 39 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.5apg (4th best).
