Egyptian Essam Mostafa (206-F-1999) put on an amazing game in the last round for Wonju DB and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 26-year old forward had a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Mobis Phoebus (#10, 6-13) 82-77. Wonju DB maintains the 4th position in South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Wonju DB will need more victories to improve their 11-8 record. In the team's last game Mostafa had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Essam Mostafa averages this season 4.8ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Rayshaun Hammonds (206-C-1998) of Hyundai Mobis Phoebus. Hammonds impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 33 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Mobis Phoebus lost that game 77-82 to the higher-ranked Wonju DB (#4, 11-8). This loss caused Mobis Phoebus to slide to the very bottom (10) position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-13 record. Hammonds is a newcomer at Mobis Phoebus and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.0ppg (#3). He also registered 9.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Nathan Knight (208-F/C-1997) of Sono Skygunners (#7). Knight scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). Despite Knight's great performance the Skygunners lost 78-87 to the higher-ranked Anyang (#2, 13-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Sono SG ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Knight could help Sono SG to bring them higher in the standings. Knight has a great season in South Korea. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.1ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 11.6rpg (4th best).

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
