KCC Egis sign Dewan Hernandez, ex Arecibo

Busan KCC Egis (KBL) signed Dewan Hernandez, a 27-year-old USA power forward who previously played for Capitanes de Arecibo in Puerto Rican BSN league. He averaged 11.6ppg, 6.6rpg, and 1.4apg in 14 games last season. Hernandez also played for Gigantes and Osos in Puerto Rico, where he put up solid numbers. He briefly played for Mets and Capitanes as well.
In 2019, he was drafted by the Toronto Raptors (NBA) in the second round (59th overall). He graduated from the University of Miami, and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. Hernandez was a member of the USA Senior National Team in 2022.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to pro basketball, he experienced life in seven different countries playing on four different continents. Hernandez is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, and of course North American leagues. He has played professionally in China (Rockets), Greece (Promitheas), Israel (Hapoel Tel Aviv), Korea (Wonju DB), Puerto Rico (Vaqueros and Cangrejeros), NBA G League (RGV Vipers, Westchester Knicks, and Raptors 905 Mississauga), and NBA Summer League (Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Wizards).
Hernandez won the NBA Atlantic Division championship title in 2020. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican League Honorable Mention in 2022.
