The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 8 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most important game in the last round took place in Ulsan between third ranked Mobis Phoebus (27-18) and eighth ranked Egis (16-29) on Sunday night. Mobis Phoebus were crushed by Egis at home 102-76. KCC Egis dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Mobis Phoebus' 48. KCC Egis looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Mobis Phoebus' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-1992, college: UMass) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Seounghyun Lee (201-1992) who added 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Gaige Prim (203-1999, college: Missouri St.) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KCC Egis maintains eighth position with 16-29 record. Mobis Phoebus at the other side keep the third place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Suwon KT. KCC Egis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mobis Phoebus will play at home against KCC Egis and are hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Sakers (28-17) against fourth ranked Sonicboom (27-18) on Sunday night. Visiting Sakers were crushed by Sonicboom in Busan 90-62. The winners were led by American center Rayshaun Hammonds (206-1998, college: Georgia) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and Hoon Heo supported him with 19 points. Even 8 points and 8 rebounds by Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) did not help to save the game for LG Sakers. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Suwon KT moved-up to third place, which they share with Mobis Phoebus. LG Sakers at the other side keep the second position with 17 games lost.
