Ninth-ranked KoGas (13-22) made lots of trouble for first ranked Anyang (25-10) on Sunday. Anyang managed to secure only two-point victory 87-85. However their fans expected much easier game. Anyang made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Anyang had a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Junhyeong Byeon (186-1996) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international center Sek-Eun Oh (200-1987) chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-1990, college: BYU-Hawaii) who recorded 29 points and 6 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Anyang maintains first place with 25-10 record. KoGas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 22 games lost. Anyang are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Seoul Thunders (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KoGas will play against Suwon KT and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Seventh-ranked KCC Egis (15-20) made lots of trouble for first ranked Anyang (25-10) in Jeonju. The visitors from Anyang managed to secure only two-point victory 83-81. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Junhyeong Byeon contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (201-1995, college: Arizona) answered with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds for KCC Egis. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Anyang maintains first place with 25-10 record. KCC Egis lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with 20 games lost. Anyang will play against bottom-ranked Seoul Thunders (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KCC Egis will play against Seoul Knights and hope to get back on the winning track.

However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great evening for Assem Marei who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Hongseok Yang with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. LG Sakers maintains second place with 22-13 record having just three points less than leader Anyang. Suwon KT at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 19 games lost. LG Sakers will meet at home Wonju DB (#6) in the next round. Suwon KT will play against KoGas in Inchon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games of round 27 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Seoul Knights were defeated by Mobis Phoebus in Ulsan 79-65. Goyang beat Seoul Thunders at home 68-65. KoGas lost to Suwon KT on the opponent's court 84-88.

Mobis Phoebus - Seoul Knights 79-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 4th placed Seoul Knights' (19-16) road loss to third ranked Mobis Phoebus (21-14) 65-79 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American forward Gaige Prim (203-1999, college: Missouri St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Filipino guard Rhon Jhay Abarrientos (181-1999) helped adding 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Mobis Phoebus players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds and the former international forward Bukyung Bae (200-1989) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mobis Phoebus have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 21-14 record having four points less than leader Anyang. Defending champion Seoul Knights keep the fourth position with 16 games lost. Mobis Phoebus will meet at home Goyang (#5) in the next round. Seoul Knights will play against KCC Egis in Jeonju and hope to secure a win.

Goyang - Seoul Thunders 68-65

No shocking result in a game in Daegu where fifth ranked Goyang (17-17) edged bottom-ranked Seoul Thunders (10-26) 68-65 on Monday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 19 rebounds. The former international guard Seonghyen Jeon (190-1991) helped adding 9 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was American center Darral Willis (205-1996, college: Wichita St.) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and forward Hyun-Ho Lee (192-1980) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Goyang maintains fifth place with 17-17 record. Seoul Thunders lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Goyang will meet higher ranked Mobis Phoebus (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Seoul Thunders will play against the league's leader Anyang (#1) and hope to secure a win.
