The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Hillcrest Grays (5-1) against third ranked Siglap on Tuesday night. Siglap were defeated by Siglap 59-47. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hillcrest Grays. They outrebounded Hillcrest Grays 43-28 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international Edna Lim (-1995) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds. Amanda Lim contributed with 15 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winners. Guard Crystal Yeow (170-2000) answered with 11 points and 5 rebounds for Hillcrest Grays. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains third place with 4-1 record behind leader Blazers. Hillcrest Grays at the other side keep the second position with one game lost. Siglap are looking forward to face Warriors (#4) in the next round. Hillcrest Grays will play against the league's leader Blazers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Proform's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in , where they defeated Starbalm (1-6) 59-46.
