Kim Huat IBA's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Xin Hua (0-5) 59-38 on Friday. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Kim Huat IBA (1-4) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place. It was Xin Hua's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. They share the position with SG Basketball. Kim Huat IBA are looking forward to face Whye Nam (#13) in the next round. Xin Hua will play against Cyclone and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Bottom-ranked SG Basketball is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to eleventh ranked SpitFire (2-3) 58-39. SpitFire moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Hooper. SG Basketball at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Xin Hua. SpitFire will play against higher ranked Kembangan (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. SG Basketball will have a break next round.
The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Top-ranked Siglap (6-0) played at the court of 5th ranked Qian Xi Blue (4-2). Siglap smashed Qian Xi Blue 69-19 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Qian Xi Blue. Undefeated Siglap have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader.
