Irish Tan had an amazing evening in the last round for SG Basketball, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The player was the main contributor (21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat Blazers (#12, 1-5) 82-69. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. SG Basketball is placed at 11th position in Singapore WNBL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Tan had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. She turned to be SG Basketball's top player in her first season with the team. Irish Tan has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 16.8ppg and is league's best passer with 4.3apg. Tan is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 10.3rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was Shervonne Lee of Blazers. Lee had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Blazers lost that game 69-82 to slightly higher-ranked SG Basketball (#11, 2-5). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Blazers dropped in the standings to second-to-the-bottom (12th) position. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Blazers managed to get this year. Lee is a newcomer at Blazers and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was another SG Basketball's star - Shirley Liow. Liow scored 15 points and grabbed ten rebounds. She was another key player of SG Basketball, helping her team with a 82-69 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Blazers (#12, 1-5). Liow has a very solid season. In 7 games in Singapore she scored 7.9ppg. She also has 5.7rpg and 2.3spg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Rachel Tan) of Hillcrest Grays - 13 points and 3 rebounds

6. Pei-Sze Chia) of Qian Xi Blue - 12 points and 12 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
