Blazers - Kembangan 47-73 There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Kembangan (3-7) crushed on the road 10th ranked Blazers (1-4) 73-47 on Saturday. Kembangan forced 47 Blazers turnovers. Jing-Ling Lee nailed 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Ivon Kong accounted for 7 points and 9 rebounds. Kembangan's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ginny Kuak came up with 7 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks and Wan-Ting Tan added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Blazers in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kembangan. They moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Blazers dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. Kembangan will meet at home Whye Nam (#9) in the next round. Blazers will play against SG Basketball and it may be a tough game between close rivals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Qian Xi Red. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Loser Qian Xi Blue dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. They share it with Whye Nam.
