The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Siglap Black (4-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Qian Xi Red (6-0) 57-47. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Siglap Black. The former international power forward Alanna Lim (172-1994) orchestrated the victory by scoring 6 points and 9 rebounds. Valentia Wong contributed with 12 points for the winners. Amanda Lim answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds for Siglap Black. Siglap Black's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Undefeated Qian Xi Red have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Newly promoted Siglap Black dropped to the third position with one game lost. Qian Xi Red will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Siglap Black will play against Qian Xi Blue and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Important game to mention about took place in . Sixth ranked Adroit SG (4-2) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 8th ranked Jumpshot (2-3) 57-55 on Sunday evening. Jessica Chua stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Kindra Sim chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Kang-Yi Tan responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Adroit SG moved-up to fourth place. Jumpshot at the other side dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
An interesting game for Hillcrest Grays (4-0) which hosted in 4th placed Radin Mas (3-2). Leader Hillcrest Grays had an easy win 55-35. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Radin Mas. Xiuxiu Yao nailed 2 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Crystal Yeow came up with 8 points and 5 rebounds for Radin Mas in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Hillcrest Grays. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Loser Radin Mas dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Hillcrest Grays will meet Siglap White (#5) in the next round. Radin Mas will play against Siglap White and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 5: Kembangan smashed Blazers on the road 73-47. Whye Nam won against SG Basketball on its own court 59-58. Qian Xi Blue lost to undefeated Qian Xi Red in a road game 48-75. Kembangan rolled over Proform at home 53-31.

Kembangan's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kembangan. They moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Blazers dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. Strangely SG Basketball outrebounded Whye Nam 56-43 including 17 on the offensive glass. Diane Seow nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Mun-Ling Eng accounted for 15 points. Irish Tan came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 18 rebounds and 8 assists and Beverly Tan added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for SG Basketball in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Whye Nam moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Qian Xi Blue. SG Basketball lost their fourth game in a row. SG Basketball at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Whye Nam will meet higher ranked Kembangan (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pei-Sze Chia came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and Leshane Yeoh added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Qian Xi Blue in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Qian Xi Red. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Loser Qian Xi Blue dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. They share it with Whye Nam.
