WNBL Round 4: Qian Xi Red hand first defeat to Siglap White

Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Siglap White (3-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by Qian Xi Red (4-0) 66-27. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Siglap White. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Qian Xi Red held Siglap White to an opponent 17.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Qian Xi Red forced 33 Siglap White turnovers and outrebounded them 51-39 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Pauline Ang (178-1994) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Choy-Ting Tang chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds. Sheryl Lim produced 5 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Qian Xi Red have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Siglap Black. Siglap White at the other side keeps the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with Radin Mas.
Blazers can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in , where they defeated Kembangan (0-7) 64-51. Worth to mention a great performance of Muhd-Said Binte who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds. Belinda Lee contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Shixuan Yang replied with 8 points and 18 rebounds for Kembangan. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Jumpshot's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game.
