The game in Singapore was quite interesting. 6th ranked Adroit (1-2) played at the court of seventh ranked Siglap (2-1). Siglap defeated Adroit 76-61 on Thursday. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Siglap moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Nanyang - Tagawa 57-71

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Tagawa and 9th ranked Nanyang had identical 1-1 record. But Nanyang was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Singapore 71-57 on Thursday night. Tagawa (2-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Nanyang dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. They share it with Tong Whye and Adroit. Tagawa is looking forward to face Adroit (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nanyang will play against SAFSA and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

What was supposed to be a tight game turned out to be a rout as the Singapore Slingers outclassed Hong Kong Eastern 101-70 in Game 1 of the Asean Basketball League (ABL) play-offs semi-finals on Friday (April 12). Coach Neo Beng Siang was all smiles in front of over 2,000 fans at the OCBC Arena and declared that this was a display of "real basketball". "We did well on both ends. There were a couple of sloppy turnovers, but we committed only nine in the end and that's really good," he said.    [read more]
