Best players of Saudi Arabian D1 round 1 (by Hoops Agents)

U.S. Virgin Islands Taylor Jones (173-G-1997) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Game Masters and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 28-year old guard had a double-double of 69 points and 21 rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Jeddah (#4, 0-4) with 16-point margin 88-72. Game Masters maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Saudi Arabian D1. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 3 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Jones had a remarkable 64.0% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 10 attempts. She turned to be Game Masters' top player in her first season with the team. Oakland University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jones is league's best scorer averaging so far 45.5ppg. Jones is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 15.5rpg), assists (2nd best: 3.5apg) and averages solid 64.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Kwanza Murray (170-G-1996) of Jeddah United. Murray impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 51 points and 11 rebounds. Of course she led Jeddah Utd to another comfortable win outscoring Jeddah (0-4) 94-35. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Murray is one of the most experienced players at Jeddah Utd and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 39.5ppg (#2). She also registered 6.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Sara Dickey (177-G/F-1995) of top-ranked Al Ula. Dickey got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. She went also for eleven rebounds . She was a key player of Al Ula, leading her team to a 85-72 easy win against #2 ranked Game Masters in a game of the week. Al Ula started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game in Group B. Dickey turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Dickey has a great season in Saudi Arabia. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.8ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 9.0rpg (6th best) and assists with 2.5apg (9th best).
