Al Qadisiyah signs Delicia Washington ex Al Ahly

Delicia Washington

Al Qadisiyah (D1) signed 28-year-old American (who also holds a South Sudanese passport) 178cm guard Delicia Washington (from Clemson). She is the second foreign player on the team, joining Egyptian Jana Ahmed who signed earlier. Washington began the season with Al Ahly in the Egyptian Superleague.

Most of last season, she spent at Club Joventut Badalona in Spanish LF Endesa where in 11 games she recorded 9.5ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.4apg, and 1.1spg. She also played for another Spanish team IDK Euskotren San Sebastian in the Spanish league, averaging 7.7ppg and 5.0rpg in 10 games. Washington has been regularly called to the South Sudanese Senior National Team since 2025.

She is a very experienced player. Washington has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). She has played professionally in Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem), Italy (San Martino), Mexico (Fuerza Regia) and Spain (Gran Canaria).

In 2025, she won the FIBA Women's Basketball League Africa championship title. In 2024, Washington was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LF Endesa Honorable Mention.
She graduated from Clemson University in 2022 and is in her fourth season in pro basketball. Washington also played for the University of Florida for 3 years.
