Al Ula signs Sara Dickey, ex KPA

Sara Dickey

Al Ula (D1) signed 30-year old American swingman Sara Dickey (177cm-1995, college: Evansville) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. She was supposed to play at Kenya Ports Authority in the Kenyan Premier League.

In 6 African Women Basketball League games, she had very impressive stats: 17.3ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.5apg, and 1.2spg last season. This season, she played at Basket Zabiny Brno in the Czech Republic league. She also played 5 games in the Czech Republic where she recorded 9.0ppg, 2.8rpg, and 1.8spg.

Dickey is a highly experienced player who has played in ten different countries on six different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia, Africa, and North America). She has played professionally in Australia (Lightning), Cyprus (Asbis AEL Limassol), Iraq (Ghaz Al-Shamal), Mexico (Abejas), Portugal (Boa Viagem and Vitoria SC - Guimaraes), Puerto Rico (Gigantes), Romania (Arad and Brasov), Czech Republic (SBS Ostrava), Egypt (Misr Insurance and El Tayaran), and Saudi Arabia (Al Qadisiyah).

Among many awards, she won the Cyprus Division A championship title in 2024. She was voted Eurobasket.com All-Cypriot League Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Cypriot League Defensive Player of the Year in 2024.
Dickey graduated from the University of Evansville in 2017, and this will be her ninth season as a professional player.
