Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (D1) signed 25-year old American guard Christyn Williams (180cm-2000, college: UConn) for upcoming 2025-26 season. Williams is the second import player in the roster as Russian Anastasiia Boldyreva signed here earlier.
She played last season at Al Qadisiyah in Saudi Arabian D1 league.
Three years ago she was drafted by Washington Mystics (WNBA) in second round (14th overall).
She graduated from University of Connecticut in 2022 and it will be her fourth season in pro basketball.
She represented USA at the World Cup U19 for Women in Italy eight years ago. Williams' team won Silver and her stats at that event were 6 games: 3.2ppg, 1.7rpg.
Williams has played also professionally in WNBA (Phoenix Mercury). Her team won Big East Tournament in 2021 and 2022. She was voted to WBCA NCAA Division I All-Americans Honorable Mention back in 2021 and 2022. Williams played also for High School for one year.
