Saudi Arabian SBL round 9 best performance: Erik McCree (by Hoops Agents)

American Shooting guard Erik McCree (202-SG-1993) had a great game in the last round for Al Nasr Riyadh, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 18 rebounds, while his team crushed Al Salam (#7, 3-6) with 21-point margin 92-71. Al Nasr maintains the 4th position in Saudi Arabian SBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Al Nasr will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. In the team's last game McCree had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Al Nasr's top player in his first season with the team. Former Louisiana Tech University star has very solid stats this year. McCree is in league's top in points (2nd best: 29.4ppg), rebounds (6th best: 10.8rpg) and averages impressive 2.2spg,53.6% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Nick Stover (198-F-1993) of Al Fateh Al Hasa. Stover had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 17 rebounds. Of course Al Fateh cruised to a 84-76 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Ohod (#8, 2-7). This victory allowed Al Fateh to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-5 record. Stover is a newcomer at Al Fateh, but is already one of team's top players. Former University of South Alabama star Stover is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Al Nasr's star - American guard Donte McGill (190-G-1995). McGill got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds and five assists. He was another key player of Al Nasr Riyadh, helping his team with a 92-71 easy win against the lower-ranked Al Salam (#7, 3-6). Al Nasr needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 2 lost games. McGill has a great season in Saudi Arabia. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 37.0ppg (best scorer) and assists with 3.9apg (6th best). He also has 2.1spg and a FGP of 68.5%. McGill attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
