Experienced American Perry Jones III (211-F-1991, agency: Slash Sports) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Al Ahli Jeddah and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 33-year old forward had a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Al Nassr (#3, 6-1) 113-103. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Al Ahli to consolidate first place in the Saudi Arabian SBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and Al Ahli still have not lost a single game, getting all 7 victories. In the team's last game Jones III had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al Ahli's top player in his first season with the team. Baylor University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jones III is in league's top in assists (7th best: 4.0apg) and averages solid 51.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Donte McGill (190-G-1995) of Al Nassr Riyadh. McGill impressed basketball fans with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Al Nassr lost that game 103-113 to league's leader Al Ahli (#1, 7-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Al Nassr still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. It was just his team's 1st loss this season, while they won 6 other games. McGill is a newcomer at Al Nassr and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 38.9ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 9.0rpg and 3.9apg. Florida International University alumni McGill played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was another Al Nassr's star - American Erik McCree (202-SG-1993). McCree got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite McCree's great performance the Al Nassr Riyadh lost 103-113 to #1 ranked Al Ahli. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Al Nassr had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 1st lost game is hopefully really an accident. McCree's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. McCree has a great season in Saudi Arabia. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 29.0ppg (2nd best).
