American guard Donte McGill (190-G-1995, college: FIU) was the second best scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 41 points he had in the Saudi Arabian league. McGill graduated from Florida International University in 2017. His team Al Nassr beat the Al Khaleej 84 to 76. He also grabbed 9 rebounds that game. McGill is the best scorer in the league averaging 40 points and over 9 rebounds per game. He participated in the Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas 3 years ago. It helped him to get more exposure and attract teams overseas. He won the Syrian League championship title earlier this year. McGill was Asia-Basket All-Saudi Arabian SBL Guard of the Year and Import Player of the Year award in 2024.
