Sylven Landesberg (ex H.Haifa) signs at Al-Ula

Sylven Landesberg

Newly promoted Al-Ula (SBL) landed experienced 34-year old American (has also Austrian passport) 198cm swingman Sylven Landesberg (college: Virginia). He already started the season at H.Haifa in Israeli Winner League. The last season season he played at Gran Canaria in Spanish Liga Endesa where in 32 games he averaged 6.2ppg and 1.1rpg. He also played 18 games in Eurocup where he had 8.8ppg and 1.6rpg.
Landesberg has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
He represented Austria at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) 2021 Pre-Qualifiers five years ago. Landesberg was best scorer at the event with 31.7 points per game, while added 8 rebounds per game.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in four different countries playing on three different continents. Landesberg is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in China (Landesbergroes, Golden Bulls and Royal Fighters), Spain (Estudiantes) and Turkey (Turk Telekom).
Among many awards his team made it to the Chinese CBA Semifinals in 2021. He was voted to Turkish League All-Star Game back in 2019.
Landesberg attended University of Virginia until 2010 and it is his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
