Al Ahli Jeddah (SBL) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old American forward Devin Ebanks (206cm-98kg-1989, college: WVU). It is actually his comeback to Jeddah as he has played here before. He was the top scorer at Al-Manama in Bahrain Premier League. In 8 West Asia Super League games he had very impressive stats: 16.1ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.9apg. He helped them to make it to the group final. Ebanks also played for Al Ahli Jeddah earlier that season. He also played 7 games in Saudi Arabian SBL where he recorded also remarkable stats: 24.0ppg, 6.7rpg and 3.0apg last season. Ebanks contributed to his team making it to the Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Fahed Cup Semifinals.
In 2010 he was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in second round (43rd overall). The former West Virginia University standout is in his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Ebanks has played in thirteen different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in France (Chalons Reims), Greece (Iraklis), Israel (Bnei Ebanksrtzeliya), Italy (Mens Sana), Japan (San-en NeoPhoenix), Mexico (Halcones Rojos), Puerto Rico (Vaqueros, Leones, Atleticos, Brujos and Indios), United Arab Emirates (Al Sharjah), Dominican Republic (Reales), NBA G League (Texas Legends, Springfield A. and Grand Rapids Gold), Big3 (Tri-State) and The Basketball Tournament (Best Virginia). Ebanks' team won Bahrain League Regular Season in 2024.
Among many awards he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Player of the Year and Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Import Player of the Year in 2023.
