Beirut Club (LBL) added to their roster experienced 34-year old American guard Kevin Murphy (197cm-84kg-1990, college: Tenn Tech) for season 2024-25. He played last season at Tri-State (Big3) in the U.S.23-24 season at Al Alhy Benghazi (D1) in Libyan league. He also played for Al Ittihad Jeddah in Saudi Arabian SBL where in 16 games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.4ppg, 6.1rpg and 4.0apg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Honorable Mention.
In 2012 he was drafted by Utah Jazz (NBA) in second round (47th overall). The former Tennessee Tech University star is in his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
Murphy is quite experienced player. Thanks to Murphy's pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America) in sixteen different countries. He has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al-Muharraq and Bahrain Club), China (Guangxi and Chongqing), Croatia (Cedevita), France, Japan (SunRockers), Kuwait (Kazma), Philippines (North Port and Beermen), Qatar (Al Arabi), Saudi Arabia, Turkey (Gaziantep), UAE, Lebanon (Al Riyadi), United Arab Emirates (Shabab Al Ahli), Libya (Al Morog), NBA G League (Grand Rapids Gold and G League Ignite) and Big3 (3Murphyaded Monsters).
Among many awards he was selected to Afrobasket.com Libyan League All-Imports Team back in 2021.
