Al Ahli (D1) has agreed terms with Adrienne Godbold, a 32-year-old American guard from Illinois, for the new 2023-24 season. Godbold previously played for Hatillo in the Puerto Rican BSNF, where she had impressive stats in 22 games, averaging 19.7ppg, 9.2rpg, 2.5apg, and 2.5spg.

She was named to the Puerto Rican BSNF All-Star Game and was also named League Player of the Week twice. In the previous season, she played for KBF Prishtina in the Kosovan league, recording remarkable stats of 17.0ppg, 7.4rpg, 2.0apg, and 2.3spg in 12 games in the Kosovan Superliga. She helped her team reach the Kosovo League final after finishing the regular season as the second-best team.

She is a highly experienced player. Godbold's career has taken her to three continents and she has played in six different countries. She has had the opportunity to experience life as a professional basketball player in Europe, Latin America, and North America.

She has previously played professionally in Germany (Freiburg), Iceland (Stjarnan), Kosovo, Ukraine (Dynamo-NPU Kyiv), and the WBDA (Chicago LR).

She used to be a player in the Eurobasket Summer League, which is regarded as the premier summer league for basketball players aspiring to play overseas.

She graduated from the University of Illinois in 2013, and this upcoming season will mark her eleventh season as a professional player.
