Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

There was a change at the SBL leadership position after last games. Round 18 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Al Fateh (15-3). They were defeated by second ranked Uhud (16-2) 74-68 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Al Fateh at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Uhud.
Eighth-ranked Al Ansar (4-14) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Al Ittihad (11-7) in Jeddah. Al Ittihad managed to secure only one-point victory 81-80. However their fans expected much easier game. Al Ittihad have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 11-7 record, which they share with Al Hilal and Al Nasr. Al Ansar lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Al Salam.
Bottom-ranked Al Nahda (0-18) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 18th consecutive match to sixth ranked Al Hilal (11-7) 76-60 on Saturday evening. Al Hilal moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Al Ittihad and Al Nasr. Newly promoted Al Nahda still closes the standings.
The game in Mecca supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Al Ahli Jeddah (12-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Al Wehda (6-12). Al Ahli Jeddah smashed Al Wehda 90-62. Al Ahli Jeddah have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-6 record having four points less than leader Uhud. Al Wehda at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost.

In the last game of round 18 Al Salam was destroyed by Al Nasr on the opponent's court 95-74.



Al Nasr - Al Salam 95-74

Very expected game in Riyadh where 9th ranked Al Salam (4-14) was crushed by fifth ranked Al Nasr (11-7) 95-74. Al Nasr moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Al Hilal and Al Ittihad. Newly promoted Al Salam dropped to the eighth position with 14 games lost.

Al Ittihad - Al Ansar 81-80

Eighth-ranked Al Ansar (4-14) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Al Ittihad (11-7) in Jeddah. Al Ittihad managed to secure only one-point victory 81-80. However their fans expected much easier game. Al Ittihad have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 11-7 record, which they share with Al Hilal and Al Nasr. Al Ansar lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Al Salam.

Uhud and Al-Fath enter the Finals - 5 days ago
Uhud and Al-Fath entered the Finals at the Saudi Basketball Premier League 2018/19. Uhud swept the semifinal series against Al-Nasr 2-0. After an 80-78 win in the opener, Uhud closed the series with another narrow 82-80 win. Al-Fath meanwhile lost the opener to Al-Ahli, but then posted two consecutive victories. Al-Fath won game 2 80-76 and celebrated a 74-71 win in the decider.   [read more]
The semifinal picture is set - 19 days ago
Al Nasr, Al Ahli Jedd, Uhud and Al-Fath advanced to the semifinals of the Saudi Basketball Premier League 2018/19. Uhud and Al-Fath directly entered the semis stage as two best teams of the Regular Season. Last night Al Ahli Jedd edged Al Hilal 79-76 to win the series 2-1. Earlier they won the opener 80-77, but then lost game 2 61-68. Al Nasr meanwhile swept the quarterfinal series versus Al Ittihad.   [read more]
Al Nasr advance into League Semifinals - 23 days ago
Al Nasr became the League semifinalists. They swept the quarterfinal series versus Al Ittihad. Al Nasr snatched a road 75:60 victory in the series opener. Then they posted a comfortable 76:55 home victory to complete the sweep. Al Nasr will now face Uhud in the semis. Al Ahli and Al Hilal are tied at 1-1 after two opening games. Al Ahli claimed an 80:77 win in the opener. Al Hilal earned a 68:61 win in Game 2 to force decider.   [read more]
