MICHAEL FRASER

Al Ittihad Jeddah (SBL) tabbed experienced 34-year old Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-111kg-84, college: Oklah.Baptist). He is the second foreign player in the roster as American Jasmon Youngblood signed here earlier.
Fraser played most recently at Bakery Basket Piacentina in Italian Serie A2.
Among other achievements his team made it to the Gulf Club Championships Semifinals in 2015. Fraser received also Eurobasket.com Polish League All-Imports Team award in 2016.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Fraser experienced life in ten different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Fraser has played previously professionally in Argentina (Olimpico de La Banda), Austria (Furstenfeld Panthers), Bosnia (Igokea), France, Kuwait (Al Kuwait and Al Arabi), Mexico (Soles), Qatar (Al Sadd), Ukraine (Hoverla), Poland (Rosa and Polfarmex) and Lebanon (Sagesse, Homentmen and Byblos).
He attended Oklahoma Baptist University until 2007 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.

SBL Round 11 of Regular Season - 5 days ago
Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The biggest surprise of round 11 was guest Al Ahli Jeddah's (7-4) road victory over Al Nasr (#5) 81-80 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Al Nasr. Al Ahli Jeddah moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Hilal. Al Nasr at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Al Ittihad. Very important is a road loss of third ranked Al Hilal (7-4) against sixth...   [read more]
