JASMON YOUNGBLOOD

Al Ittihad Jeddah (SBL) signed experienced 34-year old Lebanese ex-international shooting guard Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent State). He played last summer at Mid-American Unity (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. The last season Youngblood played at Sagesse (LBL) in league where in 29 games he had very impressive stats: 19.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.8apg and 1.9spg (in top 3). He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League 3rd Team and League Player of the Week.
He spent the last 8 seasons in Lebanese one of the best leagues in Asia!! Jay voted as Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Guard of the Year two times in 2013 & 2015, Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League 1st Team three times in 2013, 2015 & 2017, Asia-Basket.com Lebanese League All-Imports Team four times 2011, 2013, 2015 & 2017.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Youngblood's team won Lebanese Cup in 2012 and 2016.
He also represented Lebanon at the Asian Championships in Changsha-Hunan (China) three years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 17.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 3.1apg, 1.5spg, FGP: 54.9%, 3PT: 30.0%, FT: 53.2%. He is one of the best import players in Lebanese Basketball History.
Youngblood has played on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Austria (Gunners Oberwart, Furstenfeld Panthers and Kapfenberg Bulls), Poland (Swiecie) and Lebanon (Anibal, Champville and Byblos).
Youngblood attended Kent State until 2006 and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season as a professional player.
He could be described: Is a versatile player that can play at either of the wing positions, or can play at the four in Kent State's system ... Is a complete all-around player and a proven winner, having played in back-to-back junior college national championships ... Has the ability to create his own shot, rebound and finish.
