Philippines earn SEABA Stankovic Cup title

Philippines earned Gold in Bangkok. They wrapped up their perfect campaign at the SEABA Stankovic Cup with a convincing victory over hosting Thailand in the Final. Jeth Troy Rosario (201-C-92) posted 17 points to lead the champions. Philippines led by just 4 points at the interval 49:45. They maintained the lead throughout the third term. Philippines entered the fourth quarter up by 5 points. Thailand ran out of steam in the fourth quarter and Philippines capitalized. They went on to score 30 points in the final stanza and iced the victory. Jiovani Jalalon (175-PG) finished with 16 points, while Rey Mark Belo (193-F) contributed 14 points for the winners. Chitchai Ananti (196-G/F-90) replied with 19 points for Thailand.

3-4 Place

Singapore - Malaysia 68-62
Singapore overcame Malaysia to finish third at the SEABA Stankovic Cup. Goh Delvin (199-C-95) scored 20 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and issued 5 assists to lead the winners. Singapore jumped to an 18:11 lead after ten minutes. However Malaysia narrowed the deficit at 2-point mark at the interval. Singapore cleared off in the third term. They entered the fourth period up by 6 points and never looked back en route to the win. Wei Leon Kwek (188-G-96) finished with 13 points for Singapore. Chee Kheun Ma (180-G-90) replied with 14 points for Malaysia.
