Thailand managed to keep their record spotless after the third game at SEA Games 2011. They escaped with a difficult overtime win over Philippines tonight. Naruemol Banmoo (185-C-87) scored 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds to put Thailand closer to the title at the tournament.
It was a tough battle from start to finish. Philippines led by a single point after ten minutes of action 16:15. But Thailand went on a 23:13 run in the second term to take a 38:29 halftime lead. Philippines bounced back right after the big break. They held Thailand to 12 points in the period to get within 3 points. Philippines pulled in front late in regulation. Merenciana Arayi (85) gave them a 64:61 lead with 24 seconds remaining. But Jantakan drained a triple with 7 seconds to go to level things up at 64. Philippines pulled ahead once again in the extra frame but Jantakan and Chonticha Chirdpetcharat (174-F-81) nailed a bunch of free throws to seal the victory for Thailand. Juthathip Mathuros (178-F/C-85) finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds, while Chonticha Chirdpetcharat had 11 points for the winning side. Merenciana Arayi responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds for Philippines. Analyn Almajan accounted for 14 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.

Malaysia - Indonesia 70:48
Malaysia posted the second win at the 2011 SEA Games. They outscored hosting Indonesia tonight to improve at 2-2 record. The hosts fell at 0-3 record after the defeat. Hui Pin Pang (176-90) scored 14 points to lead the visitors. Malaysia grabbed a 17:10 lead after ten minutes of action. Indonesia however responded equally in the second term. They erased the deficit and the teams entered the second half tied at 34. Malaysia pulled their noses in front in the third term. They accumulated a narrow 53:49 lead with ten minutes to go in the game. Indonesia failed to threaten the margin. They ran out of steam in the final quarter and had nothing to answer with as Malaysia coasted to the victory. Beng Fong Goh (165-G-82) accounted for 13 points, while Siew Teng Ang (174-87) and Ching Yee Yap (192-C-91) had 10 points each in the win. Wulan Ningrum (174-G/F-85) delivered 12 points for Indonesia. Jacklien Ibo (175-F-90) produced 10 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.
