Philippines - Myanmar 57:39
Philippines recorded the second straight win at the start of 2011 SEA Games in Jakarta. They silenced Myanmar to stay perfect. Merenciana Arayi (85) nailed 13 points to pace the winners.
Philippines grabbed an 18:10 lead after ten minutes of action. Myanmar stopped the rot in the second term. They limited Philippines to just 8 points in the quarter and got within 3 points at the interval 23:26. But the third term turned decisive for Philippines. They hold Myanmar to just 6 points in the period and cleared off to a 14-point advantage with ten minutes to go. Myanmar never recovered suffering the second loss at the tournament. Analyn Almajan notched 11 points and 11 rebounds in the win. May Yee responded with 10 points for Myanmar. Wine Wine had 9 points in the loss.

Thailand - Malaysia 74:59
Thailand registered the second consecutive win at the SEA Games 2011. They overcame Malaysia to improve at 2-0 record. Juthamas Jantakan (174-G-85) and Naruemol Banmoo (185-C-87) scored 18 points each to pace the winners. Malaysia slipped at 1-2 record after the loss.
Malaysia got to the better start. They registered a 16:13 lead ten minutes into the encounter. Thailand bounced back and trimmed the deficit to a single point at halftime 28:29. Thailand finally pulled in front in the third term. They entered the fourth quarter up by 2 points 53:51. Thailand went on a decisive 21:8 rally in the fourth period to snatch a comfortable win at the end. Juthathip Mathuros (178-F/C-85) accounted for 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for Thailand. Malaysia answered with 18 points from Beng Fong Goh (165-G-82). Hui Pin Pang (176-90) delivered 15 points in the loss.
