Philippines wrapped up SEABA championship preliminary round action unbeaten. They knocked down the defending champions Thailand tonight. Both teams will meet in the Final tomorrow. Merenciana Arayi (85) paced well-balanced effort from the hosts with 12 points.
Thailand looked better at the early stages. The visitors secured a narrow 17:16 led ten minutes into the encounter. Philippines bounced back in the second frame. They poured in 27 points to take a 43:36 lead at the interval. Philippines started to get away in the third stanza. The home team established a comfortable 65:49 advantage at the final intermission. Philippines played aggressive defense limiting their opponents to only 9 points in the fourth quarter. The hosts capitalized running away with a confident win at the end. Sylvia Valencia (79) produced 11 points for Philippines. Melissa Jacob (175-G-84) and Fatima Tolentino (C-87) accounted for 10 points each in the victory. Naruemol Banmoo (185-C-87) answered with 21 points for Thailand. Chonticha Chirdpetcharat (174-F-81) nailed 11 points in the loss.

Malaysia wrapped up their SEABA championship preliminary round campaign with victory. They held off Singapore for 2-2 record in the third position in the ladder. Sngapore finished with no wins in four games played. Suik May Kew (172-F-82) paced Malaysia with 20 points in this one.
Malaysia started the game aggressively. They poured in 26 points in the opening quarter to pile up a 9-point lead. The gap kept on growing in the second frame. Malaysia ensured a comfortable 20-point buffer at halftime. Malaysia did not slow down in the third term. They boosted the margin to as many as 33 points midway through the third stanza. Singapore struggled to find the right rhythm. Malaysia punished their opponents claiming a 28-point lead at the end. Hui Pin Pang (176-90) accounted for 12 points in the victory. Wong added 11 points for Malaysia. Tan Jun Wei (183-F-94) responded with 15 points for Singapore. Agung Sunarko (176-G-76) nailed 11 points in defeat.
