Philippines recorded a confident win at the SEABA Championship in Manila. The hosts denied Indonesia to improve at 3-O record. Philippines booked the spot in the Final. They will meet Thailand on Friday. Indonesia in the meantime slipped at 1-3 record in the fourth position in the ladder.
The first frame was an evenly matched contest. The home team took a narrow 17:13 lead ten minutes into the game. Indonesia worked hard to stay within striking distance in the second period. They ensured a 7-point lead at the interval 26:33. The breakthrough for Philippines happened in the third stanza. They exploded with 24 points to clear off to a 25-point advantage with ten minutes to go. Philippines stayed calm and rallied to a confident win in the final quarter. Diana Jose (173-F-85) delivered 15 points to pace the home side. Chovi Borja (85) contributed 13 points, while Angeli Gloriani and Aurora Adriano (173-F-85) added 11 points each for Philippines. Wati answered with 14 points for Indonesia. Ayuningrum had 1O points in defeat.

Thailand - Singapore 83:47
Thailand posted the third straight win at the SEABA Championship. They toppled Singapore tonight in Manila. Panurusthanon accounted for 16 points to help Thailand stay unbeaten. The victory sealed the championship game birth for Thailand. They will take on Philippines on Friday. Singapore in the meantime suffered the third straight defeat.
Thailand fired 32 points in the opening quarter to jump in front. They accumulated an 11-point lead at the first break. The margin kept on growing in the second quarter. Thailand ensured a 23-point lead at the interval. Singapore did not get any closer in the third frame. Thailand marched to a comfortable 29-point lead at the final break. Thailand maintained the tempo and eased to the victory at the end.
Ruemenchanok Doksaiyud (92) nailed 15 points for the winners. Juthamas Jantakan (174-G-85) added 14 points for the defending champions. Tan Jun Wei (183-F-94) answered with 14 points for Singapore. Koh Wei Bin (165-F-86) contributed 12 points in the losing effort.
