Thailand - Singapore 80:47
The hosting Thailand gained their second win at the SEA Games. Today they thumped Singapore at the Keelapirom Stadium to improve to 2-0 record and made another step to celebrating the title at the tournament. Singapore meanwhile suffered the 3rd straight loss and finished their campaign winless. Thailand marked their dominance from the start of the encounter and led by 7 points after 10 minutes of action. The hosts were obviously stronger and overwhelmed their opponents in every game component. The second stanza appeared to be a one-sided traffic with Thailand mounting the pressure and easily clering off to a 46:24 distance. Singapore looked hapless after the break as they scored only 6 points in the third stanza allowing the home team to head into the final period with a 35-point cushion. Singapore managed to win the final quarter 17:15 but it was a minor relief for them in a loss.
Chonticha Chirdpetcharat (174-F-81) finished with 15 points and 6 rebounds for Thailand. Chonlada Eiamsum-Ang (171-G-80) contributed 13 points, while Charothai Suksomwong (169-F-84) delivered 10 points for the winners. Poon Shuwen Cheryl (162-F-87) answered with 14 points for Singapore. Lin Duo (177-G-88) provided 11 points in a losing effort. Thailand outrebounded their opponents 47:26 and limited them to 28% accuracy from the field. Thai players shot 51% of field goals.
