Vietnam celebrated the third win at the SEA Games 2022. They edged Malaysia for a 3-1 record at the standings.
Vietnam took an early 27-12 lead and never looked behind. They won the third period 26-15 and closed the game with a final 22-21 rally.
Christian Juzang (188-G-1997, college: Harvard) top-scored for the winners with 19 points and Vinh Nguyen Huynh (202-PF-1998) netted 17. Yi-Hou Wong (196-F-1996) replied with 19 point in the losing effort and Chung-Hong Ting (193-C/F-1996) brought 15.
