Al Ahli and Al Sadd booked their places in the semifinals of the Emir Cup basketball competition for the 2025–2026 season after defeating Al Wakrah and Al Shamal respectively in the quarterfinals held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Al Gharafa Hall in Doha.

Al Ahli overcame Al Wakrah 85–72 in a match that reflected fierce competition across all four quarters. Al Ahli imposed its superiority early with a strong defensive setup and effective offensive transitions to win the first quarter 18–10. Al Wakrah responded in the second quarter, narrowing the gap with a 20–18 advantage. Al Ahli regained control in the third quarter with a decisive 25–15 performance, while Al Wakrah’s 27–24 win in the final quarter was not enough to change the outcome. Raekwon Deshawn Rogers starred for Al Ahli with 31 points, while Wesley Mark Alsiger led Al Wakrah with 28 points.

In the second encounter, Al Sadd defeated Al Shamal 107–96 after a dramatic turnaround in the second half. Al Shamal started strongly, winning the first two quarters 24–21 and 28–20, but Al Sadd responded with a dominant 38–17 third quarter and sealed the victory with a 28–27 edge in the fourth. Tyree Quannell Crump of Al Shamal was the game’s top scorer with 39 points, while Steven Green led Al Sadd with 29 points.

The quarterfinals continue on Sunday, April 19, 2026, with Al Gharafa facing Al Rayyan at 6:05 PM and Al Arabi meeting Qatar Club at 8:00 PM. Al Arabi enters as the champion of the Qatar League and Qatar Cup this season, while Qatar Club advanced from the qualifiers after defeating Al Khor 92–72.

The final will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 6:30 PM to determine the champion of the current edition.
