Al Wakrah Faces Al Shamal… Al Rayyan and Al Arabi Clash in Qatar Cup Basketball Semifinals

Doha – April 12, 2026:

All eyes turn on Monday evening, April 13, 2026, to Al Gharafa Sports Hall, which will host the two semifinal matchups of the Qatar Basketball Cup for the 2025–2026 season. This decisive stage of the 13th edition comes after fierce competition since the tournament’s kickoff, culminating in the arrival of Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, Al Shamal, and Al Arabi to the “Final Four,” in an open race toward the championship title.

Al Wakrah will meet Al Shamal at 6:00 p.m., followed by Al Rayyan against Al Arabi at 8:00 p.m.

The four teams booked their places in the semifinals after overcoming the quarterfinal hurdle. Al Wakrah advanced with an 86–73 victory over Qatar Club, while Al Shamal secured its spot by defeating Al Gharafa 99–78, underlining both teams’ readiness to compete at the highest level.

On the other side of the bracket, Al Arabi reached the semifinals after overcoming Al Sadd 81–65, continuing its strong performances in this edition. Al Rayyan completed the lineup with a 70–47 win over Al Khor, reaffirming its status as one of the leading contenders for the title.

The final will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, to determine the champion of the 13th edition. Al Gharafa and Al Arabi currently share the record for most titles, with four each, while Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, and Al Sadd have each lifted the trophy once
