There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in QBL. Coincidentally all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Doha: Al Ahli D. (#4) and Al Sadd (#3). Al Sadd was defeated at home 65-79 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Al Sadd. Al Ahli dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Al Sadd's 32. International forward Mohammed Abbasher (198-2004) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. American guard Nigel Johnson (187-1995, college: Virginia, agency: 6th Man Basketball Agency) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Malik Toppin (206-1997, college: Salem) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks for lost side. Al Ahli (10-5) moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Al Sadd. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
In the last game of round 16 Al Shamal defeated Al Wakrah in Doha 80-76.
The best stats of 16th round was 26 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists by Aaron Mitchell of Al Wakrah.
