28-year old American center Malik Toppin (206-C-1997) had a great game in the last round for Al Sadd Sports Club Doha and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds, while his team edged out Al Wakrah (#5, 6-6) 97-94. Al Sadd is placed at 3rd position in Qatari league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Al Sadd will need more victories to improve their 8-4 record. Toppin turned to be Al Sadd's top player in his first season with the team. Salem University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Toppin is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 10.6rpg) and averages solid 1.6bpg and 71.1% FGP. Worth to mention Toppin played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Dejan Janjic (198-SG-1995) of Qatar Sports Club Doha. He is Serbian guard in his 4th season at Qatar Club. In the last game Janjic recorded an impressive double-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Qatar Club was edged by slightly higher-ranked Al Gharafa (#7, 4-9) 103-99. Qatar Club managed to keep the same 8th spot in the standings. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Qatar Club managed to get this year. Janjic is one of the most experienced players at Qatar Club and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.3ppg (#3). He also registered 9.8 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jesse Jones (183-PG) of Al Khor (#9). Jones got into 30-points club by scoring 42 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds and five assists. Despite Jones' great performance the Al Khor lost 80-101 to the higher-ranked Al Rayyan (#1, 11-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Al Khor can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-11 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Jones has individually a great season in Qatar. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 33.0ppg (best scorer) and assists with 5.1apg (4th best).
