American Josh Hall (206-F-2000) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Al Gharafa Doha and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 25-year old forward had a double-double of 41 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed Al Shamal (#6, 5-7) with 27-point margin 100-73. Al Gharafa is placed at 7th position in Qatari QBL. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Al Gharafa have already lost 9 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Hall had a remarkable 61.1% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Al Gharafa's top player in his first season with the team. Hall has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 23.2ppg), rebounds (5th best: 10.3rpg) and averages solid 57.0% FGP. Worth to mention Hall played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Taylor Adway (205-C-1996) of Al Ahli Sports Club Doha. Adway impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Al Ahli to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Al Khor (#9, 1-11) 99-75. Al Ahli's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 8-4 record is not bad at all. Adway is a newcomer at Al Ahli and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Rion Brown (198-SF) of top-ranked Al Rayyan Doha. Brown showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al Rayyan, leading his team to a 105-90 easy win against #3 ranked Al Sadd in a game of the week. Many experts and fans count Al Rayyan as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 11 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Brown has a very solid season. In 10 games in Qatar he scored 12.1ppg. He also has 4.6rpg, 3.1apg and a FGP of 68.0%.
