30-year old American guard Nigel Johnson (187-G-1995, agency: 6th Man Basketball Agency) had an amazing evening in the last round for Al Ahli Sports Club Doha and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had the game-high 27 points adding two rebounds and nine assists for Al Ahli D. in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Al Shamal (#6, 5-5) with 39-point margin 112-73. Al Ahli maintains the 4th position in Qatari league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Al Ahli will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al Ahli's top player in his first season with the team. The University of Virginia graduate has very impressive stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in points (6th best: 23.5ppg), assists (5th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 2.2spg and 41.1% from behind 3-point line. Worth to mention Johnson played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Josh Nicholas (190-G-1998) of Qatar Sports Club Doha. He is American-Jamaican guard in his first season at Qatar Club. In the last game Nicholas recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 10 assists. Of course he led Qatar Club to another comfortable win 86-67 over slightly lower-ranked Al Khor (#9, 1-8) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Qatar Club to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 7th position in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Qatar Club managed to get this year. Nicholas is a newcomer at Qatar Club and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.3ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 5.6rpg and 5.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Qatar Club's star - guard Dejan Janjic (198-SG-1995). Janjic scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was another key player of Qatar Sports Club Doha, helping his team with a 86-67 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Al Khor (#9, 1-8). Qatar Club can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-8 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Janjic has individually a great season in Qatar. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.9ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 10.0rpg (3rd best).
