Adel's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old SSD-AUSn forward Deng Adel (201-F-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Al Sadd Sports Club Doha and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Al Gharafa (#7, 2-6) with 23-point margin 102-79. Al Sadd maintains the 3rd position in Qatari league. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Al Sadd will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. In the team's last game Adel had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Al Sadd's top player in his first season with the team. University of Louisville graduate has very impressive stats this year. Adel is in league's top in assists (9th best: 4.4apg) and averages solid 50.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Dejan Janjic (198-SG-1995) of Qatar Sports Club Doha. He is Serbian guard in his 4th season at Qatar Club. In the last game Janjic recorded an impressive double-double of 36 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Qatar Club lost that game 70-77 to slightly higher-ranked Al Khor (1-7). Qatar Club are still at the very bottom. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Qatar Club managed to get this year. Janjic is one of the most experienced players at Qatar Club and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.1ppg (#5). He also registered 10.3 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Malik Curry (185-G-1999) of league's second-best Al Rayyan Doha. Curry showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Al Rayyan, leading his team to a 97-83 easy win against #4 ranked Al Wakrah in a game of the week. Al Rayyan is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 6-1 record is not that bad... Curry has a great season in Qatar. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 8.7apg (best passer).
