Experienced American Steven Green (196-G-1993) put on an amazing game in the last round for Al Sadd Sports Club Doha and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 32-year old guard had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Al Khor (#8, 0-6) with 16-point margin 93-77. Al Sadd is placed at 3rd position in Qatari QBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Al Sadd will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Green had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Al Sadd's top player in his first season with the team. Oklahoma Baptist University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Green is in league's top in points (7th best: 22.2ppg), assists (4th best: 5.7apg) and averages solid 2.2spg and 56.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Al Sadd's star - young American center Malik Toppin (206-C-1997). Toppin impressed basketball fans with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Of course together with Green he helped Al Sadd Sports Club Doha with another comfortable win 93-77 over Al Khor (#8, 0-6) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Al Sadd to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Toppin is a newcomer at Al Sadd and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. Salem University alumni Toppin played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was American Jesse Jones (183-PG) of Al Khor (#8). Jones got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. Despite Jones' great performance the Al Khor lost 77-93 to the higher-ranked Al Sadd (#3, 4-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Al Khor can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 6 games. Jones has individually a great season in Qatar. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 35.5ppg (best scorer) and assists with 4.8apg (5th best).
