Jones number one in Qatar QBL for round 3

American Point guard Jesse Jones (183-PG) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Al Khor, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The player tried to help (45 points, five rebounds and nine assists) his team in a lost game to Al Arabi (#2, 2-0) 77-100. Al Khor moved-up to the 8th position in Qatari QBL. They are still not able to win a single game in the league yet. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 2 games and recorded no victories. In the team's last game Jones had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 13 attempts. He turned to be Al Khor's top player in his first season with the team. Former Bridgeport University star has very solid stats this year. Jones is league's best scorer averaging so far 34.5ppg. Jones is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 7.0apg) and averages impressive 54.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Ndoye Seydou (201-F-1999) of Al Sadd Sports Club Doha. Seydou had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Al Sadd to another comfortable win 95-78 over Qatar Club (0-3) being unquestionably team leader. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Seydou is well-known at Al Sadd and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Tyree Corbett (201-F-2000, agency: Allstars Agency) of league's second-best Al Arabi Club Doha. Corbett scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Al Arabi, leading his team to a 100-77 easy win against Al Khor (#8, 0-2). Al Arabi has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Corbett also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Corbett has a very solid season. In 2 games in Qatar he scored 10.0ppg.

9. Tyler Harris (208-C-1993) of Al Rayyan - 19 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Taylor Adway (205-C-1996) of Al Ahli D. - 23 points and 7 rebounds
