American Raekwon Rogers (203-C/F-1999, agency: One Motive Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Al Ahli Sports Club Doha and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 26-year old had a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Al Gharafa (#7, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 98-83. It allowed Al Ahli to jump to the first place in the Qatari QBL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Al Ahli won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Rogers had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al Ahli's top player in his first season with the team. Wagner College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rogers is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.0ppg. Rogers is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 12.0rpg) and averages solid 83.3% FGP. Worth to mention Rogers played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Aaron Mitchell (188-G-1989) of Al Wakrah. Mitchell impressed basketball fans with a triple-double of 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Bad luck as Al Wakrah lost that game 83-91 to Al Sadd (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Mitchell is one of the most experienced players at Al Wakrah and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Sudanese Deng Adel (201-F-1997) of Al Sadd Sports Club Doha (#3). Adel scored 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was a key player of Al Sadd, leading his team to a 91-83 win against Al Wakrah (#5, 1-1). Al Sadd has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Adel also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Adel as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Shane Rector (188-G-1994) of Al Shamal - 28 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
