Al Ahli Sports Club Doha (QBL) has signed 26-year old American 203cm power forward Raekwon Rogers for the new season. Rogers, who played college basketball at Wagner and is represented by One Motive Sports, is making a comeback to Doha where he previously played. He was the second leading scorer at NXT Era (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S., averaging 4.0ppg, 3.5rpg, and 1.0spg in two games last season. In the previous season, Rogers played for Al Ahli Sports Club Doha and put up impressive numbers in the Qatari QBL, averaging 20.5ppg, 9.8rpg, 1.9apg, 1.6spg, and 1.2bpg in 19 games. He helped the team reach the cup final and league semifinals. Rogers was recognized for his outstanding performance, winning awards such as Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar QBL Forward of the Year, League Player of the Week, and a spot on the Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar QBL First Team for the 2024-25 season.
He is a very experienced player. Rogers has played in four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America). He has played professionally in Cyprus (APOP Paphou), Switzerland, TBL (Little Rock Lightning), and The Basketball Tournament (Team Fredette).
Rogers played in the final of the NEC Tournament in 2022.
He used to play in the Eurobasket Summer League, which is one of the top international summer leagues available.
Rogers graduated from Wagner College in 2022 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player. He played also for Rogersnderson State University for 4 years.
