Arab Basketball Association Announces Schedule for 37th Arab Clubs Championship

The Arab Basketball Association has unveiled the schedule for the 37th edition of the Arab Clubs Championship for men's teams, hosted by UAE's Al Nasr Club in Dubai from September 25 to October 6, 2025. The tournament will feature 16 teams, with all matches taking place at Rashid bin Hamdan Hall at Al Nasr Club.

Four former champions are participating: Lebanon's Al Hikma, winners in 1998 and 1999; Kuwait SC, victors in 2022; Qatar's Al Rayyan, crowned in 2014; and defending champions Al Arabi from Qatar, who claimed the title in the 2024 edition held in Alexandria.

The draw, conducted virtually under the supervision of the Arab Basketball Association, resulted in balanced and competitive groups:

- *Group A*: Al Nasr (UAE), Homs Al Fidaa (Syria), Shab Hadramout (Yemen), Al Qadsia (Kuwait)
- *Group B*: Al Antoni (Lebanon), Ahli Tripoli (Libya), Al Manama (Bahrain), Kuwait SC (Kuwait)
- *Group C*: Al Arabi (Qatar, defending champions), Kazma (Kuwait), Al Seeb (Oman), Al Minaa (Yemen)
- *Group D*: Al Hikma (Lebanon), Al Wahda (Syria), Al Bashaer (Oman), Al Rayyan (Qatar)

The competition kicks off on Thursday, September 25, with four matches: Kuwait SC vs. Ahli Tripoli at 2:00 PM, followed by the official opening game between hosts Al Nasr and Shab Hadramout at 4:00 PM; Al Qadsia vs. Homs Al Fidaa at 6:00 PM; and Al Manama vs. Al Antoni at 8:00 PM.

On Friday, September 26: Defending champions Al Arabi face Al Minaa at 4:00 PM; Kazma vs. Al Seeb at 6:00 PM; Al Wahda vs. Al Bashaer at 8:00 PM; and a marquee matchup between Al Rayyan and Al Hikma at 10:00 PM.

Saturday, September 27, features: Ahli Tripoli vs. Al Manama at 2:00 PM; Al Nasr vs. Al Qadsia at 4:00 PM; Homs Al Fidaa vs. Shab Hadramout at 6:00 PM; and Al Antoni vs. Kuwait SC at 8:00 PM.

The action continues on Sunday, September 28: Al Minaa vs. Kazma at 2:00 PM; Al Arabi vs. Al Seeb at 4:00 PM; Al Rayyan vs. Al Wahda at 6:00 PM; and Al Bashaer vs. Al Hikma at 8:00 PM.

Monday, September 29: Al Qadsia vs. Shab Hadramout at 2:00 PM; Kuwait SC vs. Al Manama at 4:00 PM; Ahli Tripoli vs. Al Antoni at 6:00 PM; and Homs Al Fidaa vs. Al Nasr at 8:00 PM.

The preliminary round concludes on Tuesday, September 30: Al Rayyan vs. Al Bashaer at 2:00 PM; Al Seeb vs. Al Minaa at 4:00 PM; Al Arabi vs. Kazma at 6:00 PM; and Al Hikma vs. Al Wahda at 8:00 PM.

Following the group stage, the knockout rounds begin with the Round of 16 on Wednesday, October 1, and Thursday, October 2, featuring four matches each day. Matchups include: Group A winners vs. Group B fourth; Group A second vs. Group B third; Group B second vs. Group A third; and Group B winners vs. Group A fourth on the first day. On the second day: Group C winners vs. Group D fourth; Group C second vs. Group D third; Group D second vs. Group C third; and Group D winners vs. Group C fourth.

All teams will rest on Friday, October 3. Quarterfinals are set for Saturday, October 4, with semifinals on Sunday, October 5. The tournament wraps up on Monday, October 6, with the third-place playoff preceding the final
