Avtodor lands Alen Hadzibegovic

Avtodor Saratov (VTB United League) signed 26-year-old Qatari-Montenegrin international 208cm power forward Alen Hadzibegovic for the new season. He was the best rebounder for London Lions in the British SLB league last season, averaging 12.7ppg, 8.0rpg, 2.0apg, and 1.3bpg in 32 games. He helped them win the regular season and reach the semifinals. Hadzibegovic was named Eurobasket.com All-British League Bosman Player of the Year, voted to the All-Defensive Team, and was named League Player of the Week twice. In the previous (2023-24) season, he played for Panevezys 7bet-Lietkabelis (LKL) in the Lithuanian league, appearing in 8 games with averages of 6.3ppg, 4.3rpg, and 1.1bpg. Hadzibegovic has been a regular member of the Qatari Senior National Team since 2024.
He is a very experienced player. Hadzibegovic has played also in Japan (Swoops), Lithuania, Poland (Zastal), Qatar (Al Sadd and Al Khor), Montenegro (Lovcen and Podgorica) and Russia (Runa Basket).
His team won the Qatari Emir Cup in 2023.
