International Referee Alaa Suleiman to Officiate Matches at Arab U-16 Basketball Championship in Cairo

Doha – August 10, 2025:

Qatari international basketball referee Alaa Suleiman will officiate matches at the Arab Championship for U-16 Boys' and Girls' National Teams, hosted by the Egyptian capital Cairo from August 10 to 17, featuring elite Arab national squads.

The tournament's technical committee has assigned Suleiman to oversee several games across both categories, recognizing her exceptional expertise and on-court experience. Her distinguished performance has earned praise from attendees and observers, further solidifying the prestigious standing of Qatari officiating in the regional arena.

This participation follows her recent inclusion by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) in the list of international referees for the 2025-2027 period, alongside colleagues Bandar Al-Suwaidi, Youssef Zainal, and Yassin Kashkash. All have met the required technical standards and passed accredited international assessments, qualifying them to manage continental and global competitions under FIBA's auspices.
