Doha, Qatar – July 19, 2025: In a significant milestone for Qatari sports officiating, international referee Bandar Jassim Al-Suwaidi has been appointed to oversee the semi-final match between Australia and South Korea at the 2025 Women’s Asia Cup basketball tournament. The prestigious event, held in Shenzhen, China, from July 13 to 20, showcases Asia’s top women’s basketball talent.

Al-Suwaidi’s selection for this high-stakes match underscores his distinguished career and the confidence placed in him by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), particularly following his inclusion in the elite list of international referees for 2025–2027.
