Mitchell re-signs at Al Wakrah

Aaron Mitchell

Al Wakrah (QBL) confirmed in their roster experienced 35-year old American guard Aaron Mitchell (188cm-86kg-1989, college: Longwood) for season 2024-25. He was a team leader there last season. In 8 QBL games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.4ppg, 9.4rpg (#5 in the league), 6.6apg (top 3) and 2.4spg (in top 3). He helped them to make it to the Qatari Cup Semifinals. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week and voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 Second Team and selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 First Team.
Mitchell is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America) in eight different countries. He has played previously professionally in Iraq (Al-Tadamoun and Al Kahraba), Kosovo (Bashkimi), Montenegro (KK Centar Bijelo Polje and Teodo), Oman (Nizwa), Tunisia (Dalia Sport Grombalia), Qatar (Al Gharafa and Al Shamal), Palestine (Sareyet) and ABA (Richmond E.).
Among many awards he played in the final of Qatari League in 2022. Mitchell was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 2nd Team in 2022.
He graduated from Longwood College in 2011 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player.
